Britney Spears is preparing to return to the stage: very soon she may release a duet with Elton John. True, this will not be a fresh song, but an updated version of “Tiny Dancer”, one of John’s main hits.
This is reported by the PageSix portal, citing its own source in the music industry. The single “Tiny Dancer” is due out in August via Universal Music. It will be produced by Andrew Watt, who has worked with Post Malone, Lana Del Rey and Ozzy Osbourne.
“It was Elton’s idea, Britney is a big fan of his. They did a duet remix of “Tiny Dancer” and it’s just incredible.”
According to him, the label’s employees have already listened to the song and were completely delighted with it – the track has every chance of becoming a hit this summer.
Britney Spears hasn’t released new material for a very long time, her last album Glory to date came out in 2016. In recent years, the singer has been discussed a lot, but the reasons for this are not at all musical. In 2021, Spears finally left the custody of her father, under which she lived for 13 years. She admitted that life under control was one of the reasons for the long creative break. In February, it became known that Britney Spears was working on a memoir , for which she was offered a fee of $15 million.
Elton John’s latest album, Lockdown Sessions, was released in October 2021. It included the hit single “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)” , recorded with Dua Lipa. The track topped the UK charts, reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and won the Billboard Music Awards for Best Dance Song.
